I made these Blueberry Yogurt Parfaits for a Kentucky Derby Bridal Shower dessert table that I recently styled for Everyday Party Magazine. I wanted to make a simple treat for the guests that anyone can make. With lime green, purple, plum, and lavender as my color palate, I thought blueberries would be perfect to use!
I found these small, clear cups at Party City. I loved that they had one short side, but were taller and angular in the back, which made them a little more special. I added hand-stamped silver chevron wooden spoons from The Pretty Party Shoppe to the cups after I assembled them.
Here is what I did to assemble these adorable parfaits. Add a small spoonful of vanilla yogurt to the bottom, then add a some granola, then fresh blueberries. Repeat a layer of yogurt on top, and garnish with a touch more of granola, a blueberry and a sprig of mint. The fresh mint leaf was a perfect touch for the Kentucky Derby Shower!
Blueberry Yogurt Parfaits:
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- granola (pre-packaged)
- fresh blueberries
These Blueberry Yogurt Parfaits are perfect for a morning baby shower or bridal shower. You can easily make them ahead of time, then put them out just before the party. If you are using fresh mint as shown, then don’t add it until after removing from the refrigerator, otherwise it will wilt a bit.
They were perfect for the shower! Check back soon for more details and party pics.
Yogurt parfaits are great to make for an everyday breakfast too. Just put in a larger glass and use a full cup of yogurt. You can also substitute other fresh fruit, such as raspberries or strawberries!
