Sparkling, glittered banners are easier to make then you think. These banners are perfect for princess parties, baby showers, and weddings! They add a touch of glamour that will catch the eye of your guests. We have posted a quick video on our Youtube channel to help get you started! View video here.
**TIPS** Use a thick card stock paper. If your paper is too thin (like mine in video, ha ha) the paper becomes flimsy after adding glue. I (Shauna) love using a needle and thread to string my banners together. It gives them a “floating” appearance. I used purple thread in video so you could see better. I would recommend using white or a color that matches your banner. You can also use a hole punch and ribbon, jute or even tulle to assemble your banner. Add any “diva” creativity to glam it up. Allow to dry completely before assembly.
Materials for Banner
- Die cut letters or letter stencils & card stock paper to trace and cut your own
- Mod Podge or elmer’s glue
- Foam paint brush
- Thread and needle or ribbon (hole punch if you are using ribbon, jute or tulle)
Begin by gathering all the materials. * If you are using stencils, first stencil your letters and cut out*. Paint the glue on each letter and sprinkle with glitter. Let them sit for about a minute before removing excess glitter. Allow each letter to dry completely. Using a needle and thread or hole punch and ribbon, carefully assemble your banner. Hang for everyone to admire!!
